Mobile Recycling Trailer

CONGRATULATIONS!  OVER 43 TONS DIVERTED FROM THE WASTE STREAM!

KBB and the City of Brownwood's Public Works Department now have a mobile recycling trailer.  This was  made possible through a grant provided by Texas Environmental Quality Commission and the West Central Texas Council of Governments.

The FIRST Saturday of each month, a recycling drop off site is available for the citizens of Brown County.  The site is open from 9 am to 1pm, under the Austin Avenue overpass at Avenue B and Brady Avenue.

All materials to be recycled must be clean.

Items accepted:  glass, aluminum cans, metal cans, cardboard, newspaper, magazines, white office paper, plastic drink bottles, plastic milk jugs. white office paper, cell phones, inkjet cartridges, and  telephone books

The trailer is available for local events to promote recycling and education.  We need a couple of groups to staff the trailer so it can be offered on the third Saturday of the month.
