Tools for Schools

 

     Keep Brownwood Beautiful and the City of Brownwood have

Partnered together to create a new FREE resource available to local educators, called“Tools for Schools.”

     A portable building has been added to the Recycling Center to collect items that educators can use or reuse, as the case may be, in the classroom.   “Tools for Schools” will serve as a collection and storage center for various items and supplies from everyday items like:

 . Baby food jars with lids        

. Coffee Cans with lid

. Toilet paper rolls        

. Cloth, buttons, ribbons, etc

 . Refrigerator magnets          

  . Egg cartons

 . 3-liter clear bottles with lid      

  . Pine cones

 . Compact Discs                  

 . Film canisters

 . Oatmeal Boxes                  

 .Turkey feathers

 . Large paper bags                

 .Laundry detergent scoops

 .Sea shells                           

 .Baby formula cans              

 . Maps (roads, state, world)    

. And Much MORE

to extra school supplies and educational materials that the City of Brownwood will collect twice a year at the end of the semester from each campus, including items like:

 0 Pens, pencils              

 0 Unused paper and notebook

 0 Scissors, glue, rulers    

 0 Posters, borders

 0 Books                       

 

         

It is available to all Brown County educators during regular business hours at the Brownwood Recycling Center (one mile south of the National Guard Armory on FM 45):

Monday-Saturday 8am-4:30pm & Sunday 1pm-4:30pm
