We take pride in our city, and you should, too!

One of the best ways to help out Keep Brownwood Beautiful is to join our Board of Directors. Our board meetings are open to everybody, and we look forward to hearing your ideas on what you think would improve the community and what projects are a priority to you. While you have to be an adult to be on the board, kids of all ages can get involved with our programs as long as they have a parent with them. Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts have helped us out at clean-ups, and we also would love to have some volunteers to bring the mission of KBB to youth groups around town. By checking out our projects, you can find something that appeals to you. Our number one goal is for our volunteers to enjoy themselves! We never want a volunteer to feel like he is obligated to participate in something, and if none of our projects are doing it for you, we are always eager to hear suggestions on something new and fun that will help beautify the town.

If you have used our green spaces before, perhaps you would be interested in helping to keep them groomed and accessible by weeding, planting, or watering. Let us know! And if you would like to take on a green space, contact us and we'll see if we can get the funding together to make the dream a reality.

More than anything, remember that here in Brown County, recycling is not mandatory, it is strictly a volunteer effort. Every time you elect to bring in a can, newspaper, or glass bottle to our recycling trailer, you have become a KBB volunteer!
